S-HWR-130X
The mega sawtooth hanger is the largest and strongest sawtooth hanger commercially available. Its unbreakable and unbendable steel is ideal for super heavy duty applications, including large pictures, mirrors, and custom wood art.
For heavy wood frames at least 1 inch wide
Measures 3 1/2" long, 3 ½” wide, and 1/16" thick
Supports up to 250 lbs
Includes four (4) #8 x 1/2" screws
Heavy 14 gauge zinc-plated steel
Lay the picture frame face down on a blanket or soft surface.
If only one hanger will be used, center it left-to-right on the top rail, a little down from the upper edge of the frame. The serrated edge should face down.
Use two mega sawtooth hangers for larger frames, spacing them apart on the top rail. Make sure they are level with each other on the frame and an equal distance down from the upper edge.
Mark and drill pilot holes before installing the hanger screws, especially on hardwood frames.
Use the longest screws you can, but check to be sure they will not break out on the surface of the frame. The #8 x 1/2" screws provided are usually adequate.
Make sure that the hardware in the wall that the picture will be hanging on is solid and in no danger of pulling out of the wall under load. If the nail or screw is not in a wall stud, it must otherwise be secure in the wall and fits securely on the teeth of the hanger.
