Wall buddies are self-leveling sawtooth hangers that come in pairs, unlike traditional sawtooth hangers. The hangers strengthen the upper corners of frames like corner braces and eliminate the possibility of broken wires and bowed frames, while their sawtooth edges allow frames to be level and flush with the wall.
Wall buddies metal frame hangers for metal frames with a #11 profile and at least 11" wide
Supports up to 30 lbs
Includes two (2) nails and hooks
Slide-in wall buddies hangers for metal sectional frames require partial disassembly of a frame
Place the frame face-down on a blanket or soft surface.
Carefully remove the metal springs under the top rail and set these aside, if applicable.
Loosen the set screws on the steel corner plates at the upper corners of the frame and remove the top rail by gently pulling it back from the rest of the frame. Take care not to let the side rails splay out when removing the top rail.
Remove the steel corner plate and backplate from each end of the top rail.
Insert the left and right Wall Buddies Hangers into the top rail channel and replace only the tapped corner plates on top of the hangers. Discard the two backplates.
Reassemble the top rail onto the rest of the frame. Be careful not to damage glass or allow debris to enter the frame. Retighten the set screws on the tapped corner plates.
Reinstall the metal springs under the top rail.
Measure the distance between the arrow marks on the left and right metal slide in wall buddies.
Space the two special wall hooks for wall buddies at this distance as level as possible and nail them into the wall. The wall hook nails should be located on the wall approximately 1 1/2" down from where you want the top of the frame to be.
Hang the frame so that the sawtooth edges of each Wall Buddies Hanger rests on the exposed shank of the nail inside the special wall hooks.
To level the frame, slide it left or right with a slight lifting motion.
